The sole purpose of JB Mailer is to completely manage online email campaigns. Below is a step-by-step description, from start to finish, of how JB Mailer works.
Account Setup
The staff at JB Systems will assist you in initially setting up your account. This process includes importing your current email mailing list. We prefer this list in Microsoft Excel format - with all email addresses in the first column. Once we have imported your mailing list, we will send out an official invitation to those people. The invitation simply invites them to your mailing list and prompts them to click a link verifying their email address. Behind the scenes, JB Mailer will store whether or not they accepted as well as their IP address and the date and time they responded. This is a security measure that protects you in case someone accuses you of being a spammer.
Template Creation
JB Systems will also custom design a template for you to send all of your emails on. This template will look like a newsletter, having your logo, slogan, and any graphics (picture of office, staff, etc) that you so desire. There will be a section on the template to hold the subject of your message as well as an area for the body and signature. All emails you send out will appear on this template. Note: if you wish to send regular text-based emails, simply tell us you're not interested in having a template designed.
Your First Email
Sending your first email will be exciting. Simply use our WYSIWYG (Whiz E Whug - What You See Is What You Get) editor to format your email. This tool allows you to create bulleted items, bold text, italic text, and more. It is a very similar setup to what common word processors like Microsoft Word offer. Once you send your message, it will be stored in our database and sent out in batches over the course of a few hours.
Every email you send will include a link at the bottom for users to easily unsubscribe if they so choose. The message reads some similar to:
If you no longer wish to receive emails from [COMPANY NAME], please click the following link to opt-out.
OPT OUTOur system will record the date and time each user opts in or out for security purposes. Here's why: if a recipient accuses a JB Mailer user for sending spam, the potential exists for the accused account to be shut down. However, if a valid record exists for the accusor that indicates he/she did indeed OPT IN to receive them, no fault is to be blamed on the accusor as he/she gave permission to receive them.
